From October 10 to November 10, you may visit the Holzweiler pop-up store at the SKP-S Department Store in Beijing, China, with signature Snøhetta interior designs!
The SKP-S pop-up store’s interior design represents an evolution of the pieces that Snøhetta has developed for other Holzweiler stores in the past, with a signature undulating furniture as a one of the central artifacts.
The centerpiece of the store is a reused fragment of an installation that we designed for Copenhagen Fashion Week earlier this year, representing the relationship between plants, the soil underneath our feet and Snøhetta’s commitment to a sustainable future.
The SKP Department Store is one of the world’s top department stores, located in Beijing’s central business district. The Holzweiler pop-up store is located in the recently opened SKP-S, a distinctly design-led south wing of SKP which is pushing the boundary of experiential retail in China.

In addition to the concept design by Snøhetta, the pop-up store also features plant wave music by founder and director at Data Garden, Joe Patitucci. This is the same plant music that was used for the Snøhetta designed Holzweiler runway show at this year’s Copenhagen Fashion Week, and can be accessed via the 24/7 radio channel https://plants.fm.
