Vérité Wine Bar
Vérité is a two floor winebar at Aker Brygge in Oslo, Norway. The main element in the first floor is a 17 meter long bar and a winerack stretching upwards to the second floor. In the middle of the room is an open stair leading up to a mesanin containing a 90m2 Chambre separee. Low seating arrangement with log tables are placed under and around the stair and are repeated outside the building covering the three facades, contrasting the more intimate space under the mesanin.
The colour palette is ranging from a sourish Riesling in the special areas to a deep Burgundy under the mezzanine. The collaboration with the artist Henrik Placht, where strong colours and print are important elements, gives the interior a continental feeling.
The façade is kept free from textiles to better integrate and use the city life, with its light and noise, as contemporary art.
